Future Classroom
Is it possible that classrooms will one day be like a scene from a sci-fi movie? Or will pupils no longer need to go to school, choosing to do all their studying from the comfort of their own technology-filled homes? Like it or not, there's no escaping the fact that the future classroom will be nothing like the classrooms most people experienced in their own childhood. Technological changes From the start of the school day, down to how the playground is designed, pupils of the future will have technology helping them. When they arrive at the school gates they could well be required a swipe card, which will keep schools secure from unwelcome intruders and help truancy rates as pupils attendance is logged throughout the day. The classrooms of the future could also look entirely different - more like open-plan offices with study areas, reading areas, chill out zones and technology pods to enable pupils to work as efficiently as possible. |

Buildings have roughly three classrooms in them, which contain enough laptops or tablet computers for each person. The classrooms are designed to be environmentally friendly. The buildings contain toilets which use rainwater, windturbines and solar panels for electricity and heating.
